pre-professionals

Backed by her extensive dance training (BFA Contemporary Dance, Boston Conservatory) and continued professional experiences, Jasmine is well-versed in the vocabularies of ballet, contemporary, improvisation, and modern (Horton, Limon, release technique); offering a versatile range of progressive ideas and knowledge to her students. She has served as a guest teacher at various dance studios throughout New York City and Vancouver B.C., including the Joffrey Ballet School and Richmond Academy of Dance. Jasmine is passionate about kindling artistic thought and physical curiosity with the next generation of professional dancers. Details of Jasmine's dance training and professional experiences can be found here.

early childhood

Jasmine has an innate love and passion for working with young children. Equipped with training from New York City's Kidville in the Financial District, she has had the joys of facilitating various enrichment courses to 2 to 6 year olds. She has since continued to teach at community centres and privately-owned early childhood schools throughout Richmond, B.C. Jasmine encourages play-based learning and is eager to share her nurturing energy to the little ones in our world today.

elderlies

Inspired by her early volunteering experiences at the Yaletown House Society in Vancouver B.C., Jasmine also has a deep interest in bringing the joys of movement to elderly communities. Having delved into a wealth of information about brain development and plasticity during a Neuroscience course with Kathleen M. Howland, Ph.D., at The Boston Conservatory, Jasmine holds a steady belief that facilitating dance and movement experiences with elderly communities offer greater individual access to independence, happiness, and overall well-being. Jasmine completed an introductory teaching course in Dance for PD® (Parkinson's Disease) at the Mark Morris Dance Group/Brooklyn Parkinson Group in Brooklyn, N.Y.
